Another brown Christmas is on the way for the entire state, with mild temperatures and a lack of snow having been the norm over the past several weeks. The weather conditions for the two-day Christmas period will be cloudy, dreary, a bit rainy, and mild.
Both daytime high and nighttime low temperatures will be well above normal for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, potentially flirting with records for some areas. On Christmas Eve across the state, high temperatures will range in the 50’s and 60’s, with low temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s. On Christmas Day across the state, high temperatures will range in the 50’s and 60’s, with low temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s.
On Christmas Eve, it will generally be dry, but an isolated shower or mist can’t be ruled out. Mostly cloudy or cloudy skies are expected. A period of rain will traverse the entire state from late Christmas Eve night through midday or so on Christmas Day. A few lingering rain showers will continue to be possible from Christmas Day afternoon into night, with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies. Rainfall totals of 0.10-0.75″ will be common across the state.
