Heads up if you are traveling Friday night into Saturday morning and afternoon. Dense Fog Advisories are out across portions of western and northern Illinois, spreading into Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas and much of the midwest.
Dense Fog will likely spread across other portions of the state as moisture begins streaming northward over the next 24-48hrs ahead of the Christmas Day rain maker. Give yourself some extra time while traveling to those holiday destinations. If you encounter dense fog, slow down. Do not stop in the road or on the shoulder, if you absolutely have to make sure your hazards are on!
