Thursday Evening/Night Severe Weather Forecast Update ⚡
In the wake of the large complex of t’storms/severe t’storms (MCS) that traversed Northern and Central Illinois this morning into this afternoon, it has been relatively quiet across the state, outside of a few showers/t’storms across Northern Illinois.
Our attention now turns toward the remainder of this evening and tonight, as our next round of t’storms develops across Iowa and Northern Illinois. This activity is expected to increase in coverage through the evening and overnight hours, potentially becoming fairly widespread across a large portion of Northern Illinois before eventually sagging southward into portions of Central Illinois as well. Some severe weather threat will exist with this activity, isolated in coverage.
