While the main heat wave that impacted portions of the state this past week has now come to an end, hot temperatures and slightly elevated heat indices will still be common across portions of Illinois today.
High temperatures ranging from the upper 80’s to low 90’s will be likely across Southern Illinois, with peak heat index values of 95–104°.
