The week-long heat wave will come to an end across Illinois after today. While the northern half of the state will enjoy noticeably cooler and less humid conditions, hot and humid conditions will linger for one final day across the southern half of the state.
High temperatures will climb into the upper 80’s to mid 90’s across the southern half of the state today, with peak heat index values ranging from 95–107°.
