Short Heat Wave Begins Today 🌡️
A brief – three day heat wave will begin impacting portions of the state, as a push of hot temperatures, high humidity and elevated heat indices move in.
For today, hot temperatures and elevated humidity/heat index levels will be limited to far Western and Southwestern Illinois. Within this corridor, high temperatures will range from the upper 80’s to mid 90’s, with peak heat index values of 95-105°.
Thot and humid conditions will further expand across the state for Sunday.
