Heat & Humidity Resurge Return Today 🌡️
Ahead of a passing storm system, hot and humid conditions will resurge across portions of Illinois today.
High temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s will be common across Western and Southern Illinois, where peak heat index values are expected to range from 96–113°. The highest heat indices will be across far Southern Illinois.
Elsewhere across the state, warm and somewhat humid conditions will also be present, though heat and humidity levels will be noticeably less intense than the aforementioned areas.
