Labor Day Weekend Starts Hot, Humid & A Bit Stormy 🔥⛈️
The heat wave that has gripped the state this week will continue into the start of Labor Day weekend, with high temperatures today expected to reach well into the 90’s across Central and Southern Illinois, with readings near 100° possible in some areas.
Humid conditions will also continue, with peak heat indices ranging from 96-108° across Central and Southern Illinois.
As a frontal boundary presses southward, a few showers and t’storms will be possible across portions of Central and Southern Illinois from this afternoon through early tonight.
