A storm system moving through the region brought widespread showers and t’storms to the state last night, with that activity continuing for some areas into this morning. By trick or treat times mid to late this afternoon, generally dry conditions will prevail across much of the state, with just a few showers lingering across far Southern Illinois early on. Windy conditions that have been seen across portions the state will continue, especially across Northern Illinois, where 30-45MPH wind gusts can continue to be expected. High temperatures for the day across the state occurred very early this morning, with temperatures expected to steadily fall through the afternoon and into tonight, as a cold front continues to sweep across the state. All in all, it will not be a terrible Halloween/trick or treat weather wise, and will be near average overall.
