Severe Weather Threat Wednesday/Wednesday Night⚡
A t’storm complex (MCS) will be ongoing across portions of Southern Illinois Wednesday morning. This activity will gradually exit and diminish through the morning hours, with an isolated severe weather threat possible.
The greater focus will be on scattered t’storm development near a west-to-east-oriented frontal boundary across portions of Central Illinois Wednesday afternoon. Some of this activity, along with additional activity moving in from Iowa and Missouri, may congeal into a complex as it traverses portions of Central and Southern Illinois into Wednesday night. A severe weather threat will accompany this activity, likely isolated in coverage. Should the development of a more organized complex (MCS) become increasingly likely, an upgrade to a level 2/widely scattered severe weather threat may be needed within a corridor across portions of Central and Southern Illinois.
