Discussion…
•As a storm system moves through the region through Wednesday, a few rounds of rain/t’storms can be expected across the state from early Tuesday morning through early Wednesday morning. The focus will first be on Tuesday morning, when a large t’storm complex may brush portions of Northern Illinois or there may be development of activity along a boundary moving in. An isolated severe t’storm threat may exist if this activity comes to fruition. Some of this activity may linger into midday Tuesday as it moves into portions of Central Illinois. Additional activity, in the form of clusters, will then develop and be likely across much of the state from Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning. An environment will be in place that will be supportive of severe t’storms; thus, some of the activity during this timeframe will be severe across the outlooked areas. Forecast soundings suggest damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado will be the threats with activity.
