The peak of the heat wave will continue across Illinois for one more day today, with hot and humid conditions persisting statewide. As we head into Friday and the holiday weekend, the heat wave will continue, but conditions should gradually begin to improve.
High temperatures today will climb into the low to mid 90’s statewide, with a few locations potentially reaching the upper 90’s. Peak heat index values will range from 96–110°, with locally higher values possible.
