Impacts…
•An area of precipitation will traverse the state through midday Saturday. Precipitation will mostly be in the form of rain across far Southern Illinois and snow across the rest of the state.
•Snowfall accumulation of a dusting is expected across a large portion of Illinois, with a corridor of snowfall amounts of 1-3” expected in a corridor from Southwest Illinois, up through Central Illinois, and then into Northeastern Illinois. Locally, higher amounts can’t be ruled out.
•While accumulation will occur on all surfaces, the most efficient accumulation will be on colder surfaces due to marginal temperatures expected for the duration of the event.
