Mid-September Heat Wave Begins Today 🔥
On the heels of the notable heat wave that kicked off September, another multi-day heat wave will begin today across portions of the state and continue into the weekend.
For today, the hottest conditions will be found across portions of Central Illinois and all of Southern Illinois, where high temperatures will range from around 90° to near 100°.
Elevated heat index values are expected as well, with peak heat indices of 97-106° expected across portions of Central and Southern Illinois.
