Heat Wave Continues Today 🌡️
Hot temperatures and modestly elevated heat indices can once again be expected today across portions of the state.
As has been the case over the past few days, the hottest temperatures will once again be across Northern Illinois, where afternoon highs will climb into the low to mid 90’s. Elsewhere across Central and Southern Illinois, high temperatures will once again range from the upper 80’s to low 90’s.
Humidity levels will be similar to the past couple of days, with peak heat index values highest across Northern Illinois, maxing out between 95-103°. Elsewhere across Central and Southern Illinois, heat indices will peak in the low 90’s to upper 90’s.
