(2:00 PM Thur, August 10th 2023) Back-to-back storm systems are expected to move through the region, Friday through Monday, Aug 11-14th. This will lead to daily chances for rain/t’storms across the state, with severe t’storm potential expected as well.

•Early Friday Morning – Early Saturday Morning, August 11-12th: All of Illinois.
•Early Saturday Morning – Early Sunday Morning, August 11-12th: TBD.
•Early Sunday Morning – Early Monday Morning, August 11-12th: TBD.
•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across all of Illinois, from early Friday morning through early Saturday morning. Isolated severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado.
•A severe t’storm risk will exist on Saturday, Aug 11th and Sunday, Aug 12th as well. More specific information regarding the potential on these days is to come in future updates.
