Thanksgiving 2025 Weather Forecast

Mother Nature is serving up a Thanksgiving forecast so calm, even your uncle who deep-fries turkeys in the driveway can’t mess it up.

Central and Southern Illinois will enjoy clear skies—clearer than your intentions when you say, “I’m only going back for one more plate.” Temperatures rise into the mid to upper 30s, even flirting with 40° in the south—perfect for that “Yes, let’s all go outside for a group picture nobody wants” tradition.

Northern Illinois, on the other hand, gets the refrigerator leftovers experience. Expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s, cold enough to make you rethink that post-meal football game. Add in the breezy conditions, and the wind might smack you in the face harder than the realization you forgot to thaw the turkey.

And don’t worry—it’s dry statewide, meaning there’s no snow, no rain, and no surprise weather events to argue about at the table… so you’ll have to go back to debating politics, sports, or which dish was “store-bought.”
