(11:00AM Sun, August 13th 2023) Sunday morning update regarding back-to-back storm systems that will continue to move through the region, through Monday. This will continue to lead to daily chances for rain/t’storms across the state, with severe t’storm potential expected as well.

Update…
•With this update little to no changes were needed on today/tonight’s forecast.
•With this update we have issued the first forecast for Monday.

Timing & Location…
•Sunday Morning – Early Monday Morning, August 13-14th: Central & Southern Illinois.
•Early Monday Morning – Monday Evening, August 14th: Northeastern, Eastern & Southern Illinois.

Impacts…
•A level 1 to 2 severe t’storm risk is in place across Central and Southern Illinois, from Sunday morning through early Monday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across Northeastern, Eastern and Southern Illinois, from ealry Monday morning through Monday eveing. Isolated severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado.
