(11:00PM Sun, August 13th 2023) Sunday night update regarding a storm system that will continue to move through the region, through Monday. This will lead to continued chances for rain/t’storms across the state, with severe t’storm potential expected as well.

Update…
•With this update severe t’storm probabilities on today/tonight’s forecast have been adjusted, based on real time informationa nd trends.
•With this update we have expanded severe t’storm probabilities a bit across the state on Monday’s forecast.

Timing & Location…
•Sunday Night – Early Monday Morning, August 13-14th: Central & Southern Illinois.
•Early Monday Morning – Monday Evening, August 14th: Northern, Eastern & Southern Illinois.

Impacts…
•A level 1 to 2 severe t’storm risk is in place across Southern Illinois, from Sunday night through early Monday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across Northern, Eastern and Southern Illinois, from ealry Monday morning through Monday eveing. Isolated severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes.
