(11:00AM Sat, August 12th 2023) Saturday morning update regarding back-to-back storm systems that will move through the region, through Monday. This will continue to lead to daily chances for rain/t’storms across the state, with severe t’storm potential expected as well.

•With this update we have adjusted severe t’storm proabilites across portions of the state on today/tonight’s forecast, based real time information and trends.
•With this update we have slightly adjusted severe t’storm probabilities across portions of the state on Sunday/Sunday night’s forecast.

Timing & Location…
•This Morning – Early Sunday Morning, August 12-13th: Eastern & Southern Illinois
•Early Sunday Morning – Early Monday Morning, August 13-14th: Western & Southern.

Impacts…
•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across Eastern and Southern Illinois, from this morning through early Sunday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
•A level 1 to 2 severe t’storm risk is in place across Western and Southern Illinois, from early Sunday morning through early Monday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms are likely, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
