Fri, July 28th Severe T’Storm Event Recap

(5:30PM Mon, Aug 7th 2023) A brief recap of the severe t’storm event that affected portions of Northern Illinois, from the late afternoon into night of Friday, July 28th. Severe t’storms, in the form of supercells and line segments, traversed much of Northern Illinois during this period, producing widespread severe weather. 8 tornadoes have been confirmed to have occurred across portions of Northern Illinois from this event. Additionally, widespread/significant damaging winds and some large hail occurred across portions of Northern Illinois.
