Adam was born in Chicago and has lived there his whole life. His interest in the weather started at a very young age as a result of being fascinated by the power of severe thunderstorms. This lead him to pursue a life long passion rooted in storm chasing, forecasting and understanding the weather.
Living in Illinois all his life, Adam takes great interest in the local climatology and has spent many hours trying to understand every aspect of the states weather from the crippling blizzards that strike in the winter, to the devastating tornadoes that strike during the warm months. Adam enjoys discussing weather and helping people understand just how it works.
Adam has been actively chasing storms across the country for over 10 years. He has seen 0ve 100 tornadoes to date and is known for being a very passionate and agressive storm chaser. His storm chasing resume is impressive, and includes multiple appearances on national media, being a part time driver for Sean Casey’s TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle) as well as working with several charity projects relating to storm chasing.
Adam has been on some Illinois’ most prolific tornadoes in recent memory including the EF-2 that moved south of Chicago on June 7th, 2008. The EF-2 that struck near Litchfield on April 19th, 2011 and more recently the devastating Washington EF-4 tornado of November 17th 2013 (pictured below near Roanoke.) His storm chasing does not stop in Illinois though, and has also been on some of the most notorious storms in recent memory, including the Moore, OK EF-5 and the Pilger, NE EF-4 twin tornadoes.
He has no plans to ever give up this obsession, and will always keep moving forward in his self-driven career in storm chasing. His motto is “I don’t want to see the storm, I want to experience the storm.”
